The challenge. GS E&C's Sohar refinery expansion needed cold-side insulation across the hydrocracker H-101 train, with a 14-week installation window during turnaround. Oman's coastal humidity (75%+ RH year-round) plus aggressive salt aerosol meant the jacket spec had to outperform standard 0.6mm aluminum — KUC engineering proposed marine-grade alloy-coated aluminum 0.8mm with mastic-and-scrim vapor barrier.

What we delivered. 8,400 m² PIR-80 + 5,200 linear m of 0.8mm alloy-jacketed pipe sections, 220 spring hangers (VSH-04/06), Korean technical liaison embedded for 14 weeks. Delivered 6 days ahead of turnaround restart. GS E&C extended the relationship to two additional Oman packages in 2022-2023.
